It was one of our favourite experiences of our trip.

We are in Florida this year. At The Glades RV and Golf Resort. Enjoying time in one spot, playing golf and making new friends. We had a great time traveling around North America but found it exhausting. The blog has fallen by the way because I got a tablet computer and cannot figure out how to work with pictures and the blog editing system😣
Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16967250836952301795noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6238082593363497915.post-51099031225426531152015-01-28T23:56:41.382-04:002015-01-28T23:56:41.382-04:00Hi, Anne! I saved your blog post on this event and have been waiting a year to get back to this area. Well, today was the day!! We had so much fun. I can't believe all the produce we got. We filled our two bags to the top. Our cooking demo was Carrot Ginger Soup which we both loved. The Salad for lunch was wonderful. They have changed the ice cream to ice cream sandwiches which they set in one of the color changing mugs. So glad you shared this last year. Hope all is well with you. I haven't heard anything for awhile. They always go by two small islands connected by a bridge. I wonder if it is your friends place. Does the boat tour usually go by their place? We sit in the evening at the town dock after getting ice cream and watch all the boats arrive from Canada to get their evening treat. Isn't it just a wonderful area! John and always take a day and go over to Kingston for lunch. We take a ferry to Wolf Island and then ride our bikes across Wolf Island to catch the ferry to Kingston. It is a nice city to bike all around. Too bad we can't bring back the fresh produce from the market. It always is tough to stop by and just look.John and Pam (ohtheplacestheygo.wordpress.com)https://www.blogger.com/profile/10853924678665624403noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6238082593363497915.post-295200584463862014-08-01T13:16:45.533-03:002014-08-01T13:16:45.533-03:00You are right Pam, it was the best way to go - no ...You are right Pam, it was the best way to go - no big trucks and very light traffic in general so we were able to relax and enjoy the trip. The only problem with taking "the road less traveled" is that the services for RVers were pretty much non-existent.

With regard to the wild rice, northern Ontario and southern Manitoba share the same waterways as northern Wisconsin and Minnesota and thus the wild rice crop. Actually wild rice is, for the most part, a northern grain and can be found in many areas of Canada.
